Where the river whispers become threads of beauty

reeds meet design

All carpets start with responsibly sourced reeds which are selected specifically because of their strength, texture and uniqueness when grouped together. Through design and craftsmanship we create patterns which convey harmony and elegance.

Weave combines tradition with modern creativity, creating carpets that have both a traditional past as well as modern design. The natural beauty of the reed gives the carpets warmth and dimension, yet the design is created to complete stylish interior spaces.

Each carpet is therefore more than just a floor covering; they are a statement of natural beauty, deliberate design, and timeless luxury that beautify the environment that you live in.

THE MAKING

From reed-bed to hearth

01

Pattern Design

Each design begins as a watercolour manuscript — drawn by hand on graph paper, translating the weaver's ancestral memory into a precise colour-code that will guide every knot.

02

Dyeing

Yarn is mordant-dyed in copper, iron, and clay vessels using pomegranate rind, walnut hull, saffron, and indigo. Colours are sun-aged for minimum forty days before spinning.

03

Weaving

On vertical looms carved from slow-grown oak, weavers tie between 80 and 400 knots per square inch — each one a decision, a pause, a remembered melody.

04

Finishing

After washing in cold spring water and river-stone smoothing, each carpet is stretched and sun-dried over two to four weeks, then sheared by hand to a uniform pile height.
